Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Rilprint ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our website, design studio, and services (the "Service"). We are based in Ghana and handle your data in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What we collect

We collect the following personal data:

  • Account details — your name, email address, and phone number when you sign up and complete your profile.
  • Delivery and pickup details — recipient names, phone numbers, towns, landmarks, digital addresses (Ghana Post GPS), and any map links you save.
  • Order information — the items you buy, your designs, order history, pickup codes, and order status.
  • Design content — text and images you add in the design studio, and any designs you save to your account.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment partner. We receive confirmation of payment but do not store your full card details.
  • Technical data — basic information your browser sends, such as device and usage data, used to keep the Service working and secure.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • process and fulfil your orders;
  • send you order updates and your pickup code by email and SMS;
  • verify your identity at pickup using your code;
  • respond to your questions and provide support;
  • keep the Service secure and prevent fraud;
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We only send marketing messages if you have asked to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed:

  • Supabase — secure hosting of our database and your account data.
  • Paystack — to process your payments securely.
  • Resend — to send transactional emails such as order and pickup notifications.
  • Africa's Talking — to send SMS notifications, including your pickup code.
  • Google — if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Our pickup stations — recipient name and phone are shared with the station handling your order so they can verify and hand it over.

We may also share data where required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Order records are kept longer where needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

5. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2012, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or out of date;
  • ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
  • object to certain uses of your data, including marketing.

You can update your name, phone, and addresses any time from your profile. For other requests, contact us using the details below.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including secure hosting, encrypted connections, access controls, and only collecting what we need. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if anything goes wrong.

7. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over, or younger users with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children without such consent.

8. Cookies and sessions

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and keep the Service secure. These are necessary for the Service to work and cannot be switched off without affecting your experience.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. We encourage you to review it occasionally.
